I am a qualified counsellor
I have always been interested in how the mind works and why we do and make the decisions we make. I have a huge passion to empower individuals to work though those difficult season of their lives in order to reveal their unconscious potential.
I have been fortunate to work with children and families in my career so working with them therapeutically has always been a part of my work. However I have always been interested in persuing a career in counselling or psychology. I finally took the leap of fate to train as a counsellor in 2014.
My training is an integrative approach which allows me to utilise models such as psychodynamic, person centred and CBT theories which I feel can integrated in order to suit the needs of the client.
I joined cornerstone in April 2017 as a student counsellor and have had the privilege of participating in the growth of the service as Cornerstone tries to support those in need far and wide.
One message I would give:
It is important for us to go to those dark places we hide away from the world and ourselves, however it robs us of being able to live a true authentic life full of love and vulnerability and honesty
The most enjoyable part of counselling is watching a client grow and bloom as they embrace and learn to love their true selves without apology. This is a beautiful process to behold.
If I were to eat one meal for the rest of my life…….. I have no idea!!!!! I have many favourite foods but cannot decide which one I would chose, but no doubt chicken would be in there somewhere!!!
If I were to have an autobiography it would be called
The is-ums and schiz-ums of life!!!!!!!
